Tiger Lily Press – Working Artist Residency –

I would like to thank Tiger Lily Press for the opportunity to be the third artist chosen to take part in their Working Artist Residency program. It was a wonderful opportunity to re-examine and experiment with the printed image.  Having the encouragement and support to return to traditional printmaking was one of the greatest aspects of the residency.   I was given multiple opportunities to get to know Tiger Lily’s members while volunteering my time for the many programs they hold throughout the year.  We held an open house for art instructors organized through the Cincinnati Art Musuem, created a woodblock for their bi-annual fundraising calendar, and helped organize/create the take-away print that TLP offered during the Price Hill Thrill organized by the Weston Art Gallery – just to name a few programs.  I tried to be in the print studio ever Thursday sharing my work and techniques with other TLP members and the public at large.  You can read a short summary of my residency here on TLP’s blog. I would also like to wish TLP’s fourth working artist, Rick Finn a productive and successful residency.  wap end
