Chinese good fortune card study

Back in 2008 I was working for a gallery doing preparator work.  At that time they started a side venture importing Chinese furniture.  A shipping container full of Chinese antiques arrived in Cincinnati and we unpacked the amazingly full container.  Keeping the feet of one piece of furniture from scratching the top of another piece were these beautiful gold cards.  The most information I could find about the cards is that they are mass-produced and used to bring good fortune to the owner of the card.  I recently re-found them in my studio and decided to create a small study.
